Since I hadn't really seen Georgia Green Cherry tomato anywhere online, I decided to give them a try. I was also very excited about them because I love growing potato leafed varieties. I also found it interesting because it was a green when ripened PL and cherry variety too. This large sized cherry has a very pretty exterior. On its inside, Georgia Green Cherry is lime green and aromatic. Fruits were sweeter but mild, yet its flavor was big. No blemishes! These came on a little later but was well worth the wait. One of the hardiest varieties for me in 2021. Not many seeds. Let's help to make this one popular. It's a true find! -
Grandpa Grandpa Gary's Green Tomato
I grew out two Dwarf Grandpa Gary's Green tomato plants in 2018 and literally forgot to harvest them. Towards the end of the season I managed to get about 5 fruits. I found them to be tasty but milder and on the sweet side. A very pleasant and timely experience for me! Fruits were about three, to six ounces, but average about four. These were among the latest dwarfs to ripen, but the wait was worth it. Plants are regular leaf and produce a nice amount, but not prolific. Nice selection for snacking, salads and fresh eating. Great for smaller gardens and containers as most dwarfs are! -
70 - 75 Days. Great Blue tomato was sent to my by my friend woh lives in France. I grew them out in 2017 and totally over them. They are fruity, with strong up-front balanced flavors. Very delicious. A member of the Anthocyanin family, Great Blue Tomato has darker tones on the top side that neatly fades into beautiful greens on the bottom. This tomato is four to six ounces of deliciousness! Hard working vines have good disease resistance! Salsa, green sauce, slicing for sandwiches, garnish and dried tomato flakes would be great using this one! -
Having a bad day? the doctor can fix it! We grew Green Doctors tomato for the first time in 2018 and are so glad that we did! These perfect, greenish cherries, blessed us all season long. What's more, they have great flavor too. Green Doctors vines were vibrant, sprawling and prolific. We had to stay on top of tying/staking up them from start to finish. Regular sized cherries ripen green with yellowish undertones. Pop one in your mouth and you will experience some fruitiness and plenty richness that is milder but perfect. They are also relatively sweet. These are perfect for snacking, salsa, dehydrating, cooking and more. Take some to the market, they'll sell well and encourage return customers! Green Gables Tomato
Green Gables tomato is a very delicious green variety that every should try. This 5-10 ounce fruit is sweet, a little fruity and satisfying. Bred by Jason Haynes, this is truly a nice producer! Potato leaved plants are hardy and prolific. Ours were just under 6 feet tall. A perfect tomato for slicing, it also shines in green tomato sauce, on sandwiches, for cooking and garnish. I especially love its wonderful aroma when fully ripened. For those who have never tried a green when ripened tomato variety, this would be a great way to start. Stake and feed well and you should be well rewarded. You cant go wrong with this beauty. Plant a few, get your baskets ready and get ready for the ride! -
When it comes to outstanding tomatoes, it would be hard to find many green when ripened varieties that are better than Green Giant tomato. Large, oblate, green fruits can reach more than one pound but average 12-16 ounces. This perfect sandwich variety is always very high on our list. Plants are tall and have potato leaves. Ours always display good disease resistance and produce until fall. Green Giant is a great producer too, bearing plenty clusters of 3 or 4 fruits that begin to ripen about 85 days after transplant. Green Krim Cherry tomato is a pretty little tomato with good flavor. Green when ripened, 1-1.5 inch diameter fruits are on the sweet side with plenty juice. These are softish to the touch when fully ripened. Fruity undertones are pleasing and helps to complete this little package. Plants work hard, and although they breezed through our extended rainy times here, they really excelled when it got very hot. A good choice for cherry tomato lovers, if you are willing to try a green when ripened variety! -

Green Moldovan is the tomato that got me into green tomatoes. Before Moldovan, I had a few green varieties that didn't impress me. After Moldovan, I began seeking out worthy varieties. Don't be surprised if you grow this little gem each year. Grinch Cherry dwarf tomato is a beautiful, pear shaped, nickel size or slightly larger dwarf variety that is know for being prolific and early. In fact, many times they've been the earliest to ripen in our garden. Grinch Cherry is mild, soft, very juicy, and flavorful. They are perfect for fresh eating off the vine, cooking, garnishing, and for people who like milder tomatoes. Be sure to check them often, about 65 to 70 days after transplant, to harvest a few ripened ones. Perfect variety for container growing but need to be caged because vines like to sprawl. -
Grub's Mystery Green Tomato
Some people say that you would find the sweetest tomatoes in the green when ripened family. I am here to confirm this! Grub's Mystery Green tomato is a very sweet and well textured variety. In fact, it tastes like some kind of tropical experience to me. 10-14 ounce fruits are born on huge potato leafed vines. Production is good! The plants displayed good disease resistance and hardiness, even in the worst conditions! Slice these up and lay them on a platter and you will see how very beautiful they are. GWR Wild Thyme is a unique and flavorful tomato that has surprising taste appeal. Ripening to a beautiful green-brownish color, its insides are beautifully marbled with red and light minty green. Its vines are perhaps 6 feet tall and hearty. This tomato comes in a little bit late at 85 days but it will reward you with the perfect complement to sandwiches and salsa, and a great companion in the garden on a hot day. Harvard Square Tomato
A standout for us in 2019, Harvard Square tomato will remain in my gardens from now on. Delicious fruits have unique fruitiness and after-taste that results in a very pleasing experience. Beautiful inside and out, this variety is a huge producer. Well ripened fruits are beautifully bi-colored and will turn heads. Kangaroo Paw Green tomato is a salsa lover's dream. It's also a great canning, cooking and garnishing tomato too. I enjoy them best right off the plant. This is a perfect variety for container or ground growing. I have successfully grown them in 4 gallon containers. A larger cherry type, I know you will have fun growing them, especially because they are early. In the garden I plant them 2 feet apart. Vines are prolific and fruits are firm, tangy and juicy. They begin to ripen about 70 days after transplant. Great choice for market vendors. -
Karma Miracle Tomato
What a fine tasting variety! KARMA Miracle tomato is another excellent production by Canadian breeder Karen Olivier and Marsha Eisenberg of Plantation Florida. Together, these two dedicated women created the KARMA series. Miracle is perhaps my favorite because its taste is top of the line and it's also super beautiful too. Tall, wispy potato leafed vines, have staying power and produced well in 2020. These began to ripen around 72 days from transplant. They will also do well in northern gardens. Now, back to taste! Some fruitiness, nice balance, complete experience, satisfying. Get ready to harvest a lot of larger sized cherries, all season long! A Winner for sure! -
Kiwi Tomato
If you like green when ripened tomatoes as much as I do, or if you have never had one, here is one for you! Kiwi tomato deserves a place in every tomato garden. This 6-10 ounce fruit is sweeter, pleasant and fruity, but not over the top. Texture is on medium firm, smooth and desirable. When fully ripened, they are a nice lime green on the inside and yellowish green on the outside. If this is your first time growing a green variety, check them well after about 75 days. Feel would be the best way to fist determine ripeness. After your first few, you should more easily be able to identify ripened ones by sight. This in is in the realm of Malakhitovaya Shkatulka. Plants have good resistance to early and late blights. A beautiful choice for sandwiches, fresh salsa and tasty green tomato sauce. -
Kuzula 132 tomato was a first time grow-out for us in 2018. I found that it was a great snacking, fresh salsa, garnish, canning and cooking tomato. It leans to the milder side with some small hints of sugars and acidity in its aftertaste. Vines are prolific and never really budged for diseases. They began to ripen their fruits around 72 days after we transplanted them in the garden. Beautiful bi-color fruits were plum shaped and about 2 inches long. All in all it is a good tomato for quite a few things. I snacked on these a lot while I was in the garden, especially on hot days. They were quite refreshing! See Kozula 133. -
Kozula 72 Tomato
We have grown quite a few varieties in the Kozula series. Only a very few have made it to our seed store. Kozula 72 tomato is, to this point, one of my personal favorites. Good producing, regular leafed plants, give plenty, though not prolific. Bi-colored fruits are green with purple blushing when fully ripened. These are rich tasting, fruity and sweeter with good balance. Good choice for plating, snacking, sandwiches and even cooking. This tomato reminds me a bit of Ananas Noire. Will definitely be making regular returns to our lineup. -
If you are seeking a perfect container variety that will produce bigger crops, Dwarf Lime Green Salad tomato is a great choice. They are perfect for salsa, salads, cooking and canning. Don't forget to eat some right off the vine too! Lime Green Salad plants are rugose leafed and about 2.5 feet tall when mature. They produce big crops of 2.3 inch oblate fruits that are mostly green with a yellowish tint, when ripened. They have great disease resistance and are always determined to produce. Excellent choice for container and ground growing. Plant these 2 feet apart in your garden! -
In 2017 we ate no other tomato right of of the vine in the garden as we did Lucky Tiger. Another fine production by Fred Hempel of Artisan Seeds, this tomato is the BOMB! Perfect for salsas, jams, jellies, drying for flakes and powder and tons more, there is no better say to have it than freshly picked! High producing vines are six feet tall and bushy. They produce two inch long, greenish pink, bi color tomatoes that are the closest thing to real fruits. It's really hard not to eat them all. I literally ate hundreds of these before I saved my first seed. If you haven't grown lucky Tiger tomato, Get it! -
85 Days. Perhaps the best green tomato that I have ever tasted, Malakhitovaya Shkatulka "Malachite Box" tomato is very popular here at Renaissance Farms. Without a doubt, it is the first green when ripe variety that I think about when color matters. Emitting a bright color when sliced, this delicious, rich and delightful gem is packed with a combination of flavors that culminate into perfection! There are many close seconds in our catalog, but if color matters, you should choose this one first! Vines are very productive and show good disease resistance. -
75 Days. Marmande Vert is a French slicer that has nice flavor. Oblate fruits are said to me a mutation of Marmande, and are on the sweet side and juicy with mild fruity undertones. Perfect selection for snacking of the vine. Regular vines are tall and prolific. Green when ripened oblate fruits begin to ripen about 75 days after transplant. Nice canning and slicing tomato! -
80 Days. Michael Pollan tomato is a green and yellow bi-color, pear shaped fruit. A multiflora, you can expect tons and tons of tomatoes once these start ripening. They are a nice blend of fruitiness, sweets and tarts. Vibrant vines are about six feet and show good disease resistance. When ripened fruits turn. yellowish green, so watch out for them. Great choice for salsa, snacking, cooking canning and garnish! Very tasty and satisfying! -
Muddy Mamba tomato is a new one for us in 2017. We will be growing it again, in more quantities in 2018. Beautiful, bi-colored tomatoes, that are copper colored on the bottom end with greenish shoulders, will amaze you with its interior colors. Fruits can weigh 14 ounces on the high-end and perhaps 6 on the low-end, but size has no bearing on this tomato's taste. When sliced, from top to bottom, the most beautiful array of colors reveal themselves. Vines are about 6 feet tall and begin to ripen their fruits 85 to 90 days after transplant. Muddy Mamba tomato plants produce good amount of fruits. It is a full flavored, rich, and evenly textured resulting in a very pleasant experience. Paul Robeson European tomato is a black plum that has that big flavor of some of the better blacks. Plants are prolific and ripen fruits relatively early. This, to me, was one of the better cherry/plum varieties that I grew in 2021. Deep chocolate fruits have rich flavor that is very satisfying and will encourage garden snacking. A little softer to the touch, this is definitely a great choice for saucing, but if caught before over ripened, would make a great addition to salads. Really good aroma that is consistently tempting. -
Looking for a unique and rare tomato with plenty appeal? Reinhard Kraft's Green Heart tomato could be the one. As far as I know, it's only one of a few green oxheart beefsteaks. This gem is all meat and no bones. Very dense, 8-16 ounce oxhearts ripen green and just pop with flavor. A great place for anyone to start if they have never tasted a green when ripened tomato. True to the oxheart family, RKGH is flavorful and very tasty. This is a great choice for sandwiches, fresh eating, sauces, and more. They are a little bit late though. Our first ripened fruits came in around 85 days, but I promise you, the wait was well worth it! Recommended! -
Perhaps the most unique green variety that we have ever grown, Spear's Tennessee Green tomato was definitely worth it! I heard great things about these before I tried them and was really excited to see how they produced. When they began to ripen, I was intrigued by their deep olive color, unlike most greens. Fruits were meaty, intense and delicious! Not too sweet, not too tart, but rich and satisfying, with some aftertaste that reminds me of some tropical fruits that I grew up with in the Caribbean. Put Spear's Tennessee Green on you list, you wouldn't regret it! -
70 Days. A beautiful rusty, bi-color splashed with greens, Spike tomato is a taste-forward variety. It's tasty, tangy and juicy, but still delicious!. A Fred Hempel production, this little gem definitely has it's place in home gardens. Spiky leafed, semi-determinate plants seem to be in a rush to get things started. Once they do, you can expect plenty beautiful fruits, so get ready!
